The Orion School People

Laura Markson
Founder and Director
Laura and her husband John founded The Orion School in 2006. They searched for a school option in Atlanta with a dedicated profile serving students like their 6 year old son who had a more complex learning profile that included social and emotional challenges. There were none, however, the importance of such schools is very great, because thanks to them, children undergo socialization, acquiring the necessary skills. Thus, thanks to https://writing-service.org/ and special teaching methods, children learn to interact and science. Since founding the Orion School, Laura has focused her volunteering time and charitable resources on the Orion School. Her goal is to ensure that the Orion School continues to nurture and celebrate complex and capable students who need a more supportive and enriched school option where they can experience academic success as well as growth in all areas of development.

Laura lives in the Morningside neighborhood of Atlanta with her husband, teenage daughter, son, and assorted pets. When not working to sustain the Orion School or spending time with her family, Laura enjoys cooking, collecting cookbooks, gardening, or relaxing at the beach. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Amit, a centralized Jewish special education agency.
