“The Orion School has been a tremendous blessing for our son and our whole family. The school uses research based techniques to best serve the academic and emotional needs of each student. The low ratio and caring staff ensure that we can leave our son every day knowing that he is in loving, capable hands. The Orion School "gets" our kid and we are grateful for that!”

The Orion School (formerly The 504 School) is an intimate, non-profit school located in Midtown Atlanta that specializes in educating bright, active students between the ages of 5 and 12 who have ADHD and co-occurring conditions. We understand the unique academic and behavioral challenges facing students who have ADHD and offer an alternative educational environment that delivers both remediation and enrichment.

Our core educational premise is that the educational environment needs to adapt to fit the needs of the individual child as opposed to traditional schools where the child is expected to fit the needs of the educational environment.

Our typical student is active and our program reflects this need. We focus on the whole child by integrating the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of our students into the program. Our mission is to ensure that our students are self confident, able to engage in positive social interactions, and able to experience success within an academic setting.

We are conveniently located at but not affiliated with the Grace United Methodist Church in midtown Atlanta. We would like to thank The Grace United Methodist Church for their continued support and generosity. We are currently accepting applications for the 2009/2010 school year and the 2010/2011 school year.

The Orion School is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. The Orion School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and athletic or other school-administered programs.
